El Clasico: Real Madrid vs Barcelona

The first El Clasico encounter of the 2014/15 will be played at the Bernabeau in round 9 of La Liga.

Real Madrid did not start the season well but has since recovered and are playing very well at the moment.

The two matches Real lost were at the beginning of the season.

Barcelona has started very well and so far no team has managed to score against them.

Their only blemish so far is a goalless draw against Malaga.

Its interesting to see if Barca can keep another clean sheet against arch-rivals Real.

Barca will remain top of the table whatever happens in this match.

Real could move to second with a win or draw but this depended on Seville losing their match.

Tenth A-League season set for kick-off

The tenth A-League season is set to kick-off on Friday 10th October Melbourne Victory hosting Asian Champions League finalists Western Sydney Wanderers.

The ten team league will for the first time have a short mid-season in order to accommodate the 2015 Asian Cup which Australia is hosting.

Former Central Coast Mariners coach Graham Arnold is now at Sydney FC after a brief stint in Japan last season.

Change of ownership at Melbourne Heart has meant that the name has now changed to Melbourne City.

TipsChallenge will once again be running a tipping competition for the A-League.

Di Matteo replaces Keller at Schalke

Former West Bromwich Albion and Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has been appointed as the new manager of Bundesliga club Schalke.

Di Matteo takes over from Jens Keller who had only managed two wins from the first seven matches of the season.

Schalke are currently in eighth on the table, 12 points behind league leaders Bayern Munich.
