Villa on scoring spree
Three weeks ago Villa beat Bolton 4 nil and then a week later they beat already relegated Derby County 6 nil to make it ten goals in two matches.
This is very good streak to score 15 goals in three consecutive matches and no other team has managed to do that so far this season.
The next best three consecutive games tally was achieved by Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs who both scored 12.
Manchester United scored a total of 12 goals in three consecutive games in October.
In that streak Sir Alex Ferguson's team beat Wigan 4-0 and this was then followed by two 4-1 victories over Aston Villa and Middlesbrough.
Spurs also did the same in December when first they beat Fulham 5-1 followed by a 6-4 win over Reading and a 2-1 loss to Villa.
Next for Villa is Everton away and that doesn't look like a match were they will score four or more goals but Everton will have to be on their guard to avoid that and maintain fifth place.
Derby first to go down
The maximum points that Derby can now get if they win their last six matches is 29 which is below Birmingham City who currently have 30 points and are in fourth place.
Derby's last three home matches are against Arsenal, Aston Villa and Reading whilst their last three away matches are against West Ham, Blackburn and Everton.
At the moment Derby are the only the team in the premier league who have single digit in their away goals having scored just six goals and they have three matches to at least reach 10.
In total Derby has scored 16 goals and it will be interesting to see their finally tally at the end of the season.
