2008 AFC Champions League kicks off
Unfortunately TipsChallenge will not be running this competition this year but the competition will be considered at some stage in the future.
The AFC Champions League is getting more interesting with the addition of two A-League clubs to the competition and it is promised there will be some changes in the near future.
Unlike the UEFA Champions League where all matches start at the same time save for any being played in Russia, this is not possible for the AFC Champions League because of the different timezones the matches are played in.
One thing that will make the competition even more interesting is when two teams can go to the next round instead of one as it is at the moment.
Hammers ship twelve in three matches
This is a very surprising run for a team that had before these three games only conceded three goals in a league match just once and that was against Newcastle when they lost 3-1 at St James Park.
Its also worthwhile mentioning that the Hammers have also won 5 nil when they beat they beat Derby at Pride Park.
So far in the premiership this season, the 4 nil scoreline has been achieved 9 times. Of these nine times its interesting to see that only thrice did home teams lose by that margin including West Ham's loss to Chelsea which was the first one in this bad run for the Hammers.
The other two teams who lost by that margin at home are Sunderland when they lost to Manchester United and then also Blackburn Rovers lost to Aston Villa by that same scoreline.
Lets hope the Hammers will stop this rot when they next host Blackburn in their next match.
