Stalemate at the San Siro
In the only match that the away team failed to score, defending champions Barcelona drew AC Milan at the San Siro.
The stalemate at the San Siro means AC Milan will be the only visiting team in the return leg with a very good chance of advancing to the semis.
Bayern Munich continued their winning run by beating Olympic Marseille 2-nil.
A goal in either half was enough to make sure that they stand a good chance in the return leg at the Allianz Arena to reach the semis.
Chelsea will take a slender lead to Stamford Bridge after a 1-nil win over Benfica.
The team almost guaranteed of the semis is probably Real Madrid who scored three unanswered second half goals in their match against Apoel Nicosia.

Inter sack Ranieri

Chelsea knocks Napoli out
Bayern Munich scored the most number of goals winning their match against FC Basel 7-nil.
The result meant that Bayern had scored seven goals in two consecutive matches after scoring in the Bundesliga over the weekend.
Chelsea managed to overcome the 3-1 deficit suffered in the match against Napoli in the first leg by winning the second leg 4-1 after extra time.
