Real to face Dortmund in semis
The draw separated teams from the same country facing each and therefore the final could pit countries from the same team.
Barcelona has been drawn to draw last season's runners-up Bayern Munich.
Last season Bayern beat Real Madrid to reach the final where they lost to Chelsea on penalties.
The German teams will host the first legs with the last semi featuring Barca and Bayern.

Barca, Bayern reach semis
Barcelona drew their second leg match against Paris St- Germain one-all and advance to the semis on the away goals rule.
This is the Barca's sixth consecutive semi-final appearance in the competition.
Juventus were the only team to exit in the quarters without scoring a goal over 180 minutes of football.
The Serie A champions lost both matches 2-nil for a an aggregate 4-nil loss and like last season Bayern are once again in the semis.
Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund complete the four teams to reach the semis which is now composed of teams from just two countries - Spain and Germany.

The win means that Bayern recapture the title from Borussia Dortmund with six games to play.

Victory finished third in the regular home and away season whilst the Glory snatched sixth place in the last round.
The two teams met two weeks ago and Glory were 3-2 winners but in their first two matches of the season Victory triumphed 1-nil in both matches.
The winner of this match will go on and meet Central Coast Mariners who finished second on the table.
There is no second chance in this year's final and whoever loses is out.
