Spain grouped with Italy at Euro 2012
The draw for the Euro 2012 has been made and in Group C Spain will be joined by Italy, Croatia and the Republic of Ireland.
This is one of the toughest groups in the tournament with current champions meeting the team they deposed from the throne Italy.
Ireland and Croatia both came through the qualifiers and will have nothing to lose and therefore they will cause a lot of problems for Spain and Italy.
Another tough looking group is Group B. Group B brings Holland, Portugal, Denmark and Germany together.
These tough groups will bring a lot of interest to the tournament and click here for some of the sites that will be following this tournament closely.
Here is the full draw:
Group A : Poland, Greece, Russia, Czech Republic
Group B : Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Portugal
Group C : Spain, Italy, Ireland, Croatia
Group D : Ukraine, England, France, England
England is in a good group. In Group D its between England and France to win the group. From there I think it becomes anybodys game but the most important thing is to be in the last 8.
Hi James, I think Sweden could surprise everybody in this group and also Ukraine are hosts and will therefore have a lot of support. Will see.
