Africa Cup of Nations records
I was looking at the BBC coverage of the Africa Cup of Nations records and I found a very interesting page with the records from the Africa Nations Cup.
One of the records there is about the most goals in the finals which is held jointly by Laurent Pokou (Ivory Coast) and Samuel E'too of Cameroon. But the interesting bit about Pokou is that he scored those 14 goals in just two tournaments in 1968 and 1970.
He also holds the record for most goals scored by an individual in one match which is five he scored when the Ivory Coast beat Ethiopia 6-1 in the 1970 finals. That record I am sure will stay for some time.
Another useful site is the Wikipedia which has a lot of detail about the Nations Cup.

...Eto'o is now the highest scorer after his two goals yesterday. Wikipedia is very good, lots of history and research articles.
I like the fact that the tournament is becoming bigger, but there is still lots of work to be done to have a functional and informative site of their own. One cant stress enough the importance of the internet in business, and soccer is business.

If you think that E'too will most probably play in the next two Africa Nations Cup editions, then he is bound to increase his record further. But interestingly enough the old record had been in place for a very long time.
