East Asia clash: Japan v South Korea
Japan will meet South Korea in the 2011 Asian Cup semi-finals in Qatar in clash of the giants from East Asia.
The two teams last met in an Asian Cup third place playoff at the last tournament. South Korea won the penalty shoot-out after the match had finished goalless.
Japan goes into the match knowing that every that every time they have reached the final they have never lost.
The three time champions will play a team that won the Cup twice and lost the final thrice.
Both teams are unbeaten so far but Japan won its group and South Korea finished second in Group C.
The winner will meet either Australia or Uzbekistan.
