UAE, DPR Korea exit goalless
The United Arab Emirates and the North Korea left the 2011 Asian Cup having failed to score a single goal.
The match between the two matches which was their opening match finished goalless and the teams got their single points from there.
In the same group D, Iran finished with nine points and is the only team to finish with all points.
In doing so Iran only conceded a single which was conceded against Iraq in their first match.
Iraq finished runners up in Group D and will now face off against the Socceroos. Iraq beat the Socceroos 3-1 in the previous edition of the tournament on their way to the title.
Below is a table using goal difference which puts all the 16 teams into one league type ladder:
Not surprisingly Iran heads this table with their perfect score and India having conceded the most goals and with the lowest goal difference in the group stages anchor it.
Kuwait and Saudi Arabia also left pointless but scored a single goal each.
