2012 African Nations Cup preview
The 2012 Africa Nations Cup starts this weekend with the co-host Equatorial Guinea playing Libya in Bata.
Its a tournament missing the usual African giants including the defending champions Egypt.
Cameroon, Nigeria and Algeria are also missing from this year's edition.
In group A, Senegal and Zambia look too strong for Eq Guinea and Libya.
The Senegalese seem to have found back their to the top of the African football and they should at least reach the semis.
In group B, there is one of the favourites to win the tournament in Ivory Coast.
This is a well balanced group with any of the remaining teams able to do well and reach the quarters.
The rest of the teams in group B are Sudan, Burkina Faso and Angola.
Group C looks likely to be dominated by Morocco and Tunisia.
Debutantes Niger and co-hosts Gabon may find this group very tough but at least Gabon will have the home fans fully behind them.
Finally Group D features another favourite for the Cup, Ghana.
Group could possibly be the toughest group if Botswana can take their qualifying form into the tournament.
The other members of Group D are Guinea and Mali.
