Chelsea adds to high scoring matches
This week Chelsea beat Derby 6-1 to add to the number of matches in the English Premiership this season where more than six goals have been scored in a match.
On the same night Portsmouth beat Birmingham 4-2 to record six goals.So far this season in the premiership 35 matches have seen more than 5 goals scored in a match with nearly half of them (17) seeing six goals or more.
The highest scoring match is still the match between Portsmouth and Reading where a total of eleven goals were scored with Pompey winning 7-4. Interestingly the second highest scoring match also involved Reading when they lost 6-4 to Tottenham Hotspurs.
