Saturday, 27th February 2010 1:24am
The news just got worse for Portsmouth with the news that the team has entered administration.

Facing a winding up order on the 1st of March, the team has entered administration so that it can continue to run.

Pompey becomes the first Premiership team to enter administration and relegation is now more of a reality.

Pompey has accumulated a paltry 16 points so far this season and with the nine points to be deducted due to administration, they will be left with just seven points.

At the moment Burnley who is second from the bottom has 23 points and already Pompey is seven points adrift.

In order to stay in the league with just 12 matches(36 points available) left, Pompey will need to win most of the matches in order to have a chance.
