Brazil who won their opening fixture 2-1 against North Korea now have six points and Ivorians stay on one point.
Brazil scored first in the first half followed by two goals in the second half before the Ivorians scored their consolation.
The next match in the group will be Portugal against the North Koreans.
In Group F the defending champions Italy had to once again come from behind to draw against New Zealand.
New Zealand scored first the Italians needed a penalty to make the scores even.
In an earlier match, Paraguay dispatched Slovakia 2-nil to now sit on top of Group F.
