Spain, Italy advance in Group C
Defending champions Spain advanced to the quarter-finals of the Euro 2012 competition after beating Croatia 1-nil.
The defending champions left it late to score the goal that meant they finished top of Group C.
Italy also advanced after overcoming Ireland 2-nil. Ireland were already out of the competition for a quarter-final place after losing the first two matches.
Spain will meet the runners from Group D whilst Italy will face the winners of that group.
