Argentina, Batista part ways
Sergio Batista has stepped down from his role as the Argentinian coach after the 2011 Copa America hosts failed to go beyond the quarter-finals.
Argentina were beaten by eventual winners Uruguay in a penalty shoot-out but they played most of that match with a one-man advantage.
The hosts only win was against Costa Rica where they won 3-nil.
Worringly for the 2014 World Cup qualifying, Argentina failed to beat South American opposition in the tournament.
